What is Music with Mummy ?
Music with Mummy is a structured programme of pre-school music education in the form of a series of weekly sessions, designed specifically for children aged 3 and under.
Children come along each week with Mummy (or Daddy, Nanny or another special person) and learn about music and rhythm in a fun and friendly environment. Each class lasts approximately half an hour and is carefully designed to allow children to explore and learn through music, singing and movement.
Classes run in half-term blocks, and each block of sessions is planned around a specific educational topic (eg colours) and a musical concept (eg fast and slow). The activities are built around these two themes and include a mixture of traditional songs and nursery rhymes, playing percussion instruments, actions and movement to music and singing songs especially composed for Music With Mummy sessions.
Music with Mummy is a national enterprise and has been running successfully since 1992.
